As of Friday 10/25, the series is knotted up at one-apiece, with games 3, 4 and 5 being played at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri....68-year-old Jim Leyland steps down as manager of the Detroit Tigers after eight years at the helm....Pitching coach Bryan Price replaces the recently departed Dusty Baker as new manager of the Cincinnati Reds....The Chicago White Sox sign talented Cuban 1st baseman Jose Abreu for six-years, $68M....The San Francisco Giants re-sign their ace right-handed pitcher Tim Lincecum to a two-year, $35M extension.
NFL: The Denver Broncos lose their first game of the season to the Indianapolis Colts 39-33 on the road. The 22-year-old Favors was the third-overall pick by the then-New Jersey Nets in the 2K10 draft....Legendary Hall-of-Fame player and head coach Bill Sharman passed away at the age of 87 from complications of a stroke.
